Q: Why are there two clubs in one (the Health Wellness Club and the Wellness Roundtable), instead of it just being one club?
A: After leading the Health Wellness Club for six months, Gretchen and Kay saw that members needed more time to talk with one another. At large expert-speaker meetings, members arrived, listened, and left without much chance to connect. To change this, we decided to occasionally host smaller, discussion-focused gatherings. The first test event drew a modest group, but the conversation was so engaging that we knew we were onto something. We were hooked.
This started as a book club and it eventually evolved into the Wellness Roundtable.
The Villages required a different club permit name & #.
We use the same website, email subscriber list, and leadership team for both clubs.
Q: How big is the club and what kind of attendance do you get?
A: As of October 2025, our subscriber list includes roughly 1,050 people.
Attendance varies considerably depending on the type of meeting:
In-person meetings with expert speakers show the greatest variation, ranging from about 30 attendees during low season to 110 attendees, our current room capacity.
Wellness Roundtable meetings typically attract 10–30 participants.
Zoom meetings with expert speakers average 30–45 live attendees, with our best turnout reaching 207 participants. Many more view the recordings afterward (see the “Past Events” section of this website for replays).
Co-hosted events with other clubs — including presentations by Dr. Shai Efrati (2024) and Dr. Boz (2025) — have drawn approximately 300 attendees each.
Club tours generally attract about 20 participants.
